The first Sunday of every month church
members place their food donations in the narthex of the
church to be delivered to the Elizabethtown Food Bank. The
bank is intended for area residents who have legitimate
emergencies - illness, unemployment, or other serious
financial problems. The Food Bank is utilized by
approximately 25 families of four who typically go to the
bank once a month for staples and once a week for perishables
(such as bread). The current need is for canned goods,
cereals, saltines, pancake mix and syrup, canned and dried
pastas, jellies, and peanut butter. Donations are needed on a
continuing basis.
