1 I
give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart;
before the gods I sing your praise; 2 I
bow down toward your holy temple and give
thanks to your name for your steadfast love
and your faithfulness; for you have exalted
your name and your word above everything. F250 3 On
the day I called, you answered me, you
increased my strength of soul. F251 4 All
the kings of the earth shall praise you, O
Lord, for they have heard the words of your
mouth. 5 They shall sing
of the ways of the Lord, for great is the
glory of the Lord.
6 For
though the Lord is high, he regards the
lowly; but the haughty he perceives from far
away. 7 Though I walk in
the midst of trouble, you preserve me against
the wrath of my enemies; you stretch out your
hand, and your right hand delivers me. 8 The
Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your
steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do
not forsake the work of your hands.

1 Thank
you! Everything in me says "Thank
you!" Angels listen as I sing my thanks.
2 I kneel in worship
facing your holy temple and say it again:
"Thank you!" Thank you for your
love, thank you for your faithfulness; Most
holy is your name, most holy is your Word. 3 The
moment I called out, you stepped in; you made
my life large with strength. 4 When
they hear what you have to say, God, all
earth's kings will say "Thank you."
5 They'll sing of what
you've done: "How great the glory of
God!"
6 And
here's why: God, high above, sees far below;
no matter the distance, he knows everything
about us. 7 When I walk
into the thick of trouble, keep me alive in
the angry turmoil. With one hand strike my
foes, With your other hand save me. 8 Finish
what you started in me, God. Your love is
eternal - don't quit on me now.
