LOOKING AHEAD IN THE LIFE OF THE CHURCH:
(week of February
15th)
- Pulpit Supply for Sunday, February 22, is Rev. Roger
Uittenbogaard, our Executive Presbyter.
- All articles for the March newsletter are due in the
office Sunday, February 22.
- Jr. & Sr. Youth Group Movie Night, Sunday,
Feb. 22, 6-8:30 p.m.
- Please sign up for the Agape Dinner, Ash Wednesday,
Feb. 25, 6:15-7:30 p.m., in Fellowship Hall. This
is a potluck affair but we need to know how many will
attend because of the logistics involved in the Agape
Dinner, which recalls the meals Jesus shared with people
during his ministry. Following the dinner Tom
McKinnon will begin a 5-week series entitled Theology
In Films, which will continue each Thursday
evening, ending on March 25. Please bring your own
place settings, utensils, and mugs. (We do have
paper plates, etc. if you forget). Sign-up sheets
are in the Narthex and Fellowship Hall.
- Stewardship Committee Meeting, Thursday, Feb. 26,
7:30 p.m.
- SSBB, Saturday, February 28, 8:00 a.m. at the
Village Homestead Restaurant in Bainbridge.
The Mount Joy Area Ministerium announces a COMMUNITY WORSHIP,
PRAYER AND FASTING EXPERIENCE FOR AWAKENING AND REVIVAL of Gods
church and into the surrounding community on Saturday, February
28, 10-11:30 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Brethren in Christ Church on
Mount Pleasant Road. The service will focus largely on the
Churchs brokenness: her need to repent of her divisiveness,
prayers for unity in the Body under her Lord, and a fresh work of
Gods Spirit in the Church in Mount Joy. We are
encouraging those who attend to abstain from food at least in the
morning and consider fasting from Friday dinner until Saturday
lunch.
Last revised 12 February 2004.
