Operation Christmas Child

More than 6 million children felt the joy of receiving a Christmas present last year as Samaritan’s Purse distributed shoe boxes filled with gifts in about 95 countries wrecked by war, poverty, and disaster.  This was made possible by millions of individuals, churches, and groups that prepared, collected, and processed box gifts.

Once again it is time to focus on putting together items in a shoebox for Operation Christmas Child.  Every shoebox is a unique opportunity to bring hope and joy to a hurting child.

Operation Christmas Child is a fun and rewarding project for missions-minded churches who want to share the love of Jesus Christ with suffering children around the world.  Since 1993, millions of boys and girls in over 120 countries have received these boxes and heard the Good News of the Savior - God’s greatest gift.  Then thru evangelistic materials and follow-up discipleship programs, many of these children and their families have come to know Jesus as Lord and are now growing in their faith.

In the fall each year, look in the Communication Center for ideas, boxes & stuffed animals.  Then look for details in the WITNESS.
